MP900386362I am a big advocate of having time to yourself each week, looking at what work/life balance means to you and advising my clients to do something each day or each week which brings them joy.  Something that is just for them, not for the business, for the kids or for the other half but purely indulgently for them, they are worth it!

It is extremely common for Mums to get into a cycle whereby everyone comes before them.  There has been jokes here at Mums in Franchise HQ before that the spiders are higher up the pecking order in this house than I am and get their needs met before I do.

It is important that there are times that you put you first.  Not only for the sake of your health & sanity but a rest and doing something for yourself will in the long run make you more productive.  It may also make you a better role model for your children.  All work & no play will make Mummy very dull [sometimes shouty & teary too!!].

I want you to look to put aside sometime everyday or week to do something just for you, something that brings you joy.  It could be somethings indulgent like a trip to the spa or the hairdressers or it could the simple act of shutting the door and having a hot bubble bath all to yourself!

Make time for you, have time to recharge. Start again with vigour and determination, focus & drive!  It will serve you in the long run!
