1. Take Stock
Make sure you have a regular opportunity to take stock of where you are and how far you have come. It might sound absolutely barmy but a monthly Management Meeting with yourself can give you an opportunity to review the month you are leaving & make plans, set targets & goals for the month ahead.
2. Always work with a plan
A plan stops you faffing, a plan stops you being unproductively busy. I spend time on a Sunday evening looking at my diary for the week, scheduling in work time and writing a list of the things I need to achieve that week. It might seem completely overwhelming during busy periods to do this but it is essential that you know what needs to be done. Then take off the master list the things that you are going to do on each given day & pop the master list in a cupboard, filing tray, anywhere out of your vision. Give yourself permission not to worry about the other jobs on that list, it is safe, you will not forget anything because it is on the list and you are now able to concentrate on the jobs in hand.
3. Prime Time
1 Hour prime time can see you speed through that list lady. Turn off the social media [unless of course the job in hand is scheduling social media], turn your phone to silent, close your emails and just work on the jobs in hand, have your list & tick them off. You will be amazed at how much you will achieve in a small space of time.
4. Have a 5 Minute Jobs List
Having some really small bite size tasks to completely will allow you to squeeze things in when you didn’t think you had time to. Waiting for the kettle to boil, grab the list, achieve a task. Got to school 5 minutes early for the school run, grab the list, achieve a task. Waiting at the doctors for your appointment, grab the list, achieve a task. These little blocks of time will add up and help you to produce some massive results.
5. Have faith in yourself
When you are negative, worried, stressed and anxious you will not be productive, these emotions are not productive and will never achieve anything for you & your business. If you are feeling like this it is time to take some time out, re-focus on what you want to achieve and allow yourself some space to regain your motivation & direction. You can make your franchise a success, you need to know what that means to you and to define where you want your business to go as this will help you dramatically with motivation and direction.
6. Give yourself Credit
Don’t forget to give yourself credit for how much you do and how far you have come! You will live the dream of franchise success.
7. Always Smile
My dad says everyone looks prettier when they smile & who doesn’t want to look pretty!!
